  1. KingKanji License Agreement

  3. This is a legal agreement between you and Gakusoft covering
  4. your use of KingKanji. Be sure to read the following agreement before
  5. using the software. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS
  6. AGREEMENT, DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE AND DESTROY ALL COPIES OF IT.

  8. This copyright software is distributed as shareware. You may use this
  9. software without any charge for a period of 30 days. The software
  10. is owned by Gakusoft and is protected by United States
  11. copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you
  12. must treat the software like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a
  13. book or musical recording).

  15. Commercial distribution of the software for a fee is restricted without
  16. permission of Gakusoft. We are more than happy to allow you to
  17. distribute our software, but you may not charge to do so without having
  18. a license to do so. Contact Gakusoft for details on obtaining a license.

  20. You may not rent or lease the software, nor may you modify, adapt,
  21. translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the
  22. software. If you violate any part of this agreement, your right to use
  23. this software terminates automatically and you then must destroy all
  24. copies of this software in your possession.

  26. The software and related documentation are provided "AS IS" and
  27. without warranty of any kind and Gakusoft expressly disclaims
  28. all other warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited
  29. to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
  30. particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall Gakusoft be
  31. liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages that
  32. result from the use or inability to use the software or related
  33. documentation, even if Gakusoft has been advised of the
  34. possibility of such damages.

  36. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of
  37. California. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds
  38. any provision of this Agreement, or portion thereof, to be
  39. unenforceable, that provision of the Agreement shall be enforced to
  40. the maximum extent permissible so as to effect the intent of the
  41. parties, and the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full
  42. force and effect.

  44. The software and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED
  45. RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is subject
  46. to restrictions as set forth in subdivision (b)(3)(ii) of The Rights
  47. in Technical Data and Computer Software clause at 252.227-7013.
